BACK IN TIME

DEC. 24, 1912

Dr. Eugene E. Murphy, president of the board of health of Augusta, has effected a complete quarantine against the town of Midville, Ga., where an epidemic of spinal meningitis is raging, and also of the surrounding territory of about 25 miles.

The state board will continue to furnish serum to Midville, and it is in communication with authorities at Washington, which holds in readiness a corps of Marine surgeons to rush to Midville should the situation change.
