Unexpected financial turmoil has left this North Augusta man with no money to provide Christmas for his four children.
He works full time while his wife attends school. In the past, Christmas and bills have taken precedence over school, but this year the couple is determined for her to make it through the quarter.
"We have had to rearrange a lot of things and cut corners," he writes. "Our bills are barely getting paid."
The family has relied on her financial aid money to make ends meet, but unforeseen circumstances have delayed the money until the next quarter. When she does receive the money it will have to pay for deferred tuition.
"I never thought we would be asking for help, but at this point there is going to be no Christmas for our four boys without help."
Through the Empty Stocking Fund, the family will receive gift certificates for local Kroger stores for food and Kmart stores for other necessities.
