WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mr. David McCray Heath, 31, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 18, 2001. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel. Interment to follow in Hephzibah Vance Cemetery. Mr. Heath was born in Jacksonville, Florida and had lived in Waynesboro for 15 years. He was a graduate of Burke County High School in 1988 and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Mr. Heath had been the owner and operator of Heath Transport in Jacksonville, Florida for the past three years. Mr. Heath was preceded in death by his brother, John Kelly Heath, who passed away in February of 1990. He is survived by his son, Eliot John Heath, Jacksonville, Fla.; his parents, John and Sylvia Heath, Waynesboro; his brother, William Curtis Heath, Hephzibah; his sister, Debby Morris, Gaithersville, Md.; his nephew, William Kelly Heath, Hephzibah; his niece, Lauren Elaine Heath, Hephzibah; his maternal grandfather, Eugene Curtis, Sylvester; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Matthew Maglowhorn, Ted Montgomery, Calley Jackson, Billy Jack Myers, Brian Gelaro and Andy Pope. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
