AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Brenda L. Blount entered into rest on Wednesday, December 12, 2001, at the University Hospital. The graveside services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2001, at 1 p.m. in Southview Cemetery with Dr. Sam Davis officiating. The funeral processional will assemble and leave Peoples Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. She was a native of Augusta, and a member of the Beulah Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Mr. Vernon (Angie) Blount of Augusta, and Mr. Oscar Blount of Thomson; her mother, Mrs. Edith Anderson of Augusta; one sister, Mrs. Christine Dixon of Hephzibah; two brothers, Mr. John Melton of Atlanta, and Mr. Ricky Anderson of Augusta; five grandchildren; four aunts, Mrs. Willie Eva Melton, Mrs. Ivanolla Cunningham, Mrs. Lillie Miller, all of Augusta, and Mrs. Betty Nero of Detroit; two uncles, Mr. Grady Cunningham, and Mr. Earl Smith of Augusta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
