A single Augusta mother wants to make this Christmas memorable for her son and three foster children.
Earlier this year, her aunt died, leaving behind the foster children. Before her aunt's death, she had promised to take care of those children. Money is tight, though, and she has a 15-year-old son of her own she must take care of.
"I made a promise ... I would do the best I can to make their life as enjoyable as it was when she was alive," she writes. "Please help me make this promise come true."
Through contributions to the Empty Stocking Fund, the family will receive gift certificates at local Kroger stores for food and at Kmart stores for other necessities.
