Here's a list of activities and events scheduled for this week:

TODAY

HOLIDAY CONCERT: The Augusta Choral Society will perform selections from Handel's Messiah at 8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cultural Center, 1301 Greene St. Admission is $18 for adults and $15 for senior citizens and students. Call 826-4713.

TOYS FOR TOTS: The Wal-Mart at 3209 Deans Bridge Road will collect new, unwrapped toys for children from 3 to 7 p.m. Toys also can be dropped off at The Augusta Chronicle, Georgia Bank and Trust branches, Walton Rehabilitation Hospital, radio station WEKL-FM (102.3), and television stations WJBF (Channel 6) and WRDW (Channel 12).

FRIDAY

CHRISTMAS PLAY: The Augusta Players will present A Christmas Carol at 8 p.m. at the Imperial Theatre, 745 Broad St. Admission is $10 to $25. The play continues at 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Call 826-4707 for information or reservations.

SATURDAY

GRADUATION: Augusta State University will hold its fall commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. at the athletic complex on Wrightsboro Road. Kimberly Davies, an associate professor of sociology and criminal justice, will be the featured speaker.
