LANGLEY, S.C. - Entered into rest on Tuesday, Mrs. Edna Johnston Googe, Dunbar Street. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Googe and the sister of Mrs. Gladys J. Ritter of Langley. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Googe was born in Hampton County, to the late Jessie J. and Ida Breeland Johnston. She was a charter member of Hillview Baptist Church where she was in the Gerry Garvin Sunday School Class and the Lee Ferguson Mission Group. She was also a member of the Valley Star Council Daughters of America. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m., in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Riley officiating. Interment will be Sunset Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers are Ira Dell Goodwin, Buddy Lancaster, Lewis Williams, Clem Campbell, R.T. Black and Harold McKinney. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Gerry Garvin Sunday School Class and the Valley Star Council Daughters of America. Memorials may be made to Hillview Baptist Church, 1974 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, S.C. 29829. Friends may call on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Hatcher Funeral Home.
