In Columbia, forward Tawanda Crittington scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, leading Benedict (2-2) to a victory over Paine College's Lady Lions.
The Lady Lions (3-2) led 24-23 at halftime, but were outscored 34-28 in the second half because of a poor shooting performance. Paine shot 29 percent for the game, including only 23 percent in the second half.
Guard Tiffany Isaac scored a game-high 17 points and had 11 rebounds, but it was not enough for the Lions to overcome their low field-goal percentage. Jessica Parker, who added 11 points for Paine, was the only other player on either team to score in double figures.
