A Richmond County Superior Court apparently set a record by granting 222 divorce verdicts. A majority of the divorce seekers were women. Two of the litigants yesterday lost no time in applying for license to remarry, going immediately from the courtroom to the office of Judge Oswell R. Eve, who issued the permits.

The majority of the persons seeking divorces were women and the usual grounds of cruel treatment, habitual intoxication and desertion were offered as reasons.
