GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Record-setting quarterback Woodrow Dantzler was among three Clemson players named this week's players of the week in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Dantzler became the first player in college football history to throw for 2,000 yards and rush for 1,000 in a season in his team's 59-31 win against Duke. Dantzler completed 12-of-20 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns and ran 19 times for 135 yards and a touchdown.
Center Kyle Young of the Tigers was selected as offensive lineman after recording 14 knockdown blocks against Duke. Teammate Roscoe Crosby was named rookie of the week. He had six catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
John Duckett of Virginia had 13 tackles and a sack and forced a fumble in a 20-14 win against Penn State to earn defensive back honors. Mike Abrams of Virginia punted five times for an average of nearly 42 yards to be name specialist.
Darnell Dockett had five tackles for losses for Florida State in a 28-17 win against Georgia Tech and was named defensive lineman of the week.
