Mr. Clarence Palmer Jr.



MACON, Ga. - Entered into rest on December 1, 2001, in Macon, Mr. Clarence Austin Palmer Jr. of Martinez. Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Davenport officiating. The family will receive friends today from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, 2623 Washington Road, Augusta, Ga. 30904. Mr. Palmer was born in Pelham, Ga. He lived in the Augusta area most of his life. He was a Merchant Marine during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Ga. Theatre Company and retired from the Augusta National Security. He was a Baptist and also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Survivors include six daughters, Marjorie Thomas, Walterboro, S.C., Rebecca Sturman, Orange Park, Fla., Susan Williams, Jacksonville, Cathy Jarmusik, Parma, Ohio, Patricia Upshaw, Macon, Julie Acocella, Macon; 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
