Georgia Tech center out with broken foot

ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech center Luke Schenscher will miss about six weeks with a broken foot, leaving the Yellow Jackets with just nine scholarship players.

The 7-foot center injured his foot in practice last Monday, but still played in Georgia Tech's comeback victory over Wisconsin on Wednesday. Coach Paul Hewitt said the pain and swelling had become too much for Schenscher.

He was averaging 3.7 points and 2.5 rebounds.

"I'm disappointed for Luke because he's worked very hard," Hewitt said.
