CANOOCHEE, Ga. - Peebles- Curry-Durden Mortuary announces the death of Judith Lynda Rowe Harrell, age 61, of Canoochee, on Friday, November 30, 2001, at the East Georgia Regional Medical in Statesboro after a brief illness. Funeral services will be Monday, December 3 at 3 p.m. in the Fairhaven Baptist Church near Rhine with Scotty Hudson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers are Joe Drake, Randy Johnson, John Stephens, Derek Parkerson, Mike Rowe and Randy Johnson. The family will receive friends at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary Sunday evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Harrell was a native of Laurens County, a retired nurse and a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Jack Harrell of Canoochee; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Richard Peacock of Swainsboro; one son, Sonny and Lynn Harrell of Canoochee; one brother, John W. Rowe of Dublin; her mother-in-law, Fannie Mae Harrell of Eastman; three grandchildren, Brian and Nick Tanner of Canoochee and Ben Peacock of Swainsboro; and several nieces and nephews. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Judith Lynda Rowe Harrell of Canoochee.
