ATLANTA -- Thomas Terrell scored 20 points and had seven rebounds Tuesday night to lead Georgia State to a 67-56 victory over Charleston Southern.
Nate Williams added 18 points and five rebounds for Georgia State (2-1), which extended its home winning streak to 21 games, tied with Brigham Young and Boston College for the seventh longest runs in the nation.
Charleston Southern (1-3) had just two players in double figures, Ed O'Neil with 13 points and Nikola Pejovic with 10.
Terrell scored five points during a 9-0 run that gave the Panthers a 15-6 lead early in the game. GSU led 29-22 at halftime and stretched its lead to 51-33 before Charleston Southern went on a 13-1 tear.
A 3-point basket by Gene Granger with 3:47 left cut the Panthers' lead to 58-53, but Georgia State responded with nine straight points.
