Here's a list of activities and events scheduled for this week:


CIRCUS TRAIN: The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus train is scheduled to arrive at 9:30 a.m. It will stop at East Boundary Street and Laney-Walker Boulevard. The animal walk will proceed east on Laney-Walker, turn right onto Twiggs Street, which becomes Seventh Street, then left onto Fenwick Street before ending at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center. The schedule is subject to change. The circus will have shows Thursday through Sunday at the civic center. Tickets are $16-$25. Call 828-7700 for information.

FREE CPR TRAINING: The American Red Cross of Augusta is accepting registration for its eighth annual free course in adult CPR. The class will be offered Saturday at Curtis Baptist Church, 1326 Broad St. Students should enter on Ellis Street. Doors open at 8 a.m. and instruction begins at 9. Participants must register in advance and pay $5 at the Red Cross office, 1322 Ellis St. The deposit will be refunded after the course has been completed. For more information, call 724-8483.


CRAFTS FAIR: The 31st annual Christmas Crafts Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at H. Odell Weeks Center, 1700 Whiskey Road in Aiken. There will be more than 100 craftsmen showing handmade wood furniture, baskets, floral arrangements and holiday decorations. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call (803) 642-7631. The fair continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, there will be amusement rides for children and a visit from Mrs. Claus.


STORYTELLING: Santa Claus will stop by during storytelling time from 10 a.m. to noon at Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History, 1116 Phillips St. Admission is free. Call 724-3576 for information.
