AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Catherine Fullerton Tidey, 85, of Augusta, passed away on November 25 at University Hospital after a short illness. She and her late husband, Harry C. Tidey were among the original residents of West Lake, building a home there in 1974. The Tideys had been avid golfers and longtime members of West Lake Country Club. Mrs. Tidey was a past president of the West Lake Ladies Golf Association. Up until her death she enjoyed weekly bridge outings with a circle of close friends at Westlake. Mrs. Tidey is survived by the daughters, Nancy Williams, Phoenix, Ariz., Susan (Mrs. Kenneth) Patton, Hudson, Mass. and Barbara Anderson, Waltham, Mass. She also leaves four grandsons; three granddaughters and two great-grandson; a sister, Mrs. Suzanne Phillips, Highlake, N.J.; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held for friends and family on Friday, November 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Westlake Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of the donors choice.
