Mrs. Evelyn Rodgers



THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Evelyn U. Rodgers, 85, widow of Mr. Ernest Rodgers, Thomson, died Monday, November 26, 2001, at the Athens Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Dr. James C. Elder Jr. officiating. Mrs. Rodgers, a native of LaGrange, had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Thomson First Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons, Ralph Rodgers, McRae, Frank Rodgers, Stone Mountain, John Rodgers, Bogart, Charles Rodgers, Augusta, and Jeff Rodgers, Keysville; six grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and three sisters-in-law, Ava D. Rodgers, Thomson, Rosanne S. Rodgers, Thomson, and Margaret Rodgers, Evans. Pallbearers will be Jim Rodgers, David Rodgers, Rusty Lovelace, Ernie Rodgers, John Rodgers Jr., Peter Lokey. Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
