The Technology Association of Georgia's fifth annual Web Challenge offers more than $30,000 in college-scholarship prizes for Web site design.

Teams of two to six students must submit registration forms by Dec. 14 and must be sponsored by a faculty adviser. Registration forms and guidelines are available at http://www.webchallenge.org.

The competition begins Jan 12. Teams have 11 weeks to develop a Web site based on the chosen theme of the competition. The winning Web site will be selected April 24. Teams will have a chance to train with technology professionals in Atlanta. For more information, send e-mail to info@webchallenge.org.

Johnson & Wales University's culinary school is offering thousands of dollars in scholarship money in the 13th annual National High School Recipe Contest, to be held March 15-17. The deadline for entries is Jan. 25.

High school seniors may submit original recipes following the nutrition guidelines of the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.

Entry forms are available by calling the Johnson & Wales admissions office at (800) 342-5598, Ext. 2370, or by writing to Recipe Contest, Johnson & Wales University, 8 Abbott Park Place, Providence, RI 02903.

The grand-prize winner in each category will receive a renewable full-tuition scholarship to the school, valued at $68,000. First and second runners-up will receive renewable $7,500 and $5,000 scholarships. All other finalists will receive renewable $3,500 tuition scholarships.

The annual Toshiba/National Science Teachers Association ExploraVision program is accepting entries through Feb. 4.

The competition requires students to work in teams of two to four with a faculty adviser and an optional community adviser to explore a current technology and develop creative ideas for its future use. Prizes in four grade levels include digital cameras, computer equipment and savings bonds worth up to $10,000.
