NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. James E. Beach, 78, husband of Joan W. Beach of Wellington Road, entered into rest Monday, November 5, 2001, at his residence. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Ray Robinson officiating. Interment will be private. Mr. Beach was a native of Rochester, N.Y. and had lived in North Augusta for the past 30 years. He served in of the U. S. Navy during World War II and Korean Conflict. Mr. Beach was a retired chemical engineer with E. I. Dupont with 44 years of service. Additional survivors include three sons, John E. Beach of Idaho Falls, Idaho, David W. Beach of Brentwood, Tenn., and Robert E. Jordan Jr., of North Augusta; three daughters, Alison B. Barrett of Brentwood, Tenn., Anne B. Smith of Rock Hill, S.C., and Audrey J. Kelley of North Augusta; one sister, Eleanor Barker of Battle Creek, Mich.; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the residence this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA. 30904. Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
