JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Charley Britt, Chris Doering, Robert Edwards and John Reaves were inducted into the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame on Friday in a ceremony at the Championship Dreams Tent outside Alltel Stadium.
Charley Britt, Georgia (1957-59):
Britt, a quarterback, safety and punt/kick returner from North Augusta, was everywhere for the Bulldogs in Georgia's 21-10 victory in 1959. He gave the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead with a touchdown pass to Bobby Towns, and then picked off a Dick Allen pass and returned it 100 yards for the game-clinching touchdown.
Robert Edwards, Georgia (1993-97):
Edwards, a running back from Tenille, Ga., helped the Bulldogs upset sixth-ranked Florida 37-17 in 1997. He rushed for 135 yards and a school-record-tying four touchdowns. He scored on runs of 27, 1, 1 and 37 yards.
Chris Doering, Florida (1993-95):
Doering, a wide receiver from Gainesville, Fla., caught four passes - three for touchdowns - and helped Florida to a 28-3 halftime lead in the Gators' 52-17 victory in Athens, Ga., in 1995.
John Reaves, Florida (1969-71):
Reaves, a quarterback from Tampa, threw a pair of touchdown passes in Florida's 24-17 victory in 1970. He threw scoring passes of 32 and 48 yards to Carlos Alvarez and finished 9-of-14 for 166 yards.
