Mrs. Mary Hughes



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mary E. Hughes, entered into rest on Friday, October 26, 2001, at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2001, at 2 p.m., from Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel, with Reverend Lloyd Green officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Born in Elberton, Georgia, Mrs. Hughes has lived most of her life in Augusta. She was employed with Silversteins Cleaners and retired after 45 years. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Mount Lebannon Baptist Church. Mrs. Hughes is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Hughes. She is survived by her two sons, James D. Adams, Martinez and Amos Adams, Augusta; her two sisters, Betty Albertson, Elberton and Jewel Madden, Elberton; her two brothers, Grady Mills, Abbeville, S.C. and W.R. Mills, Augusta; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road.
