Mrs. Emma Brown



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, October 24, 2001, at the Windermere Nursing Home, Mrs. Emma Brown of J. Dewey Gray Circle. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2001, at Doyle Grove Baptist Church, Blythe, with Rev. Bennie Holmes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Brown was a native of Old Ellenton, S.C. She was a member of the Doyle Grove Baptist Church, she served on the Deaconess Board, Sunday School Ministry, Mission Ministry, Usher Board, and Matron for the J.J. Ealy Choir and custodian of the church. Survivors are four daughters, Clementine (Willie) Hendrick, Macon, Floretta Cooper Garrison, Jacksonville, Fla., Rebecca (Edgar) Odom, Hephzibah, Williemenia (Gerry) Streetman, Augusta; two sons, Moses (Nell) Cooper, Erie, Pa., Alfred (Donna) Cooper, Ashtabula, Ohio; a sister, Frances Bush, Long Island City, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Yvonne D. Sullivan, Miami; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends this evening 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 M. L.
