The Augusta Better Business Bureau presented its inaugural Torch Award to Taylor Auto Group and La-Z-Boy during the organization's 47th annual meeting Thursday.
The award was created to honor ethical practices toward customers, suppliers and users, bureau President James McCormick said.
Ann Taylor, president of Taylor Auto Group, represented the auto dealership company during the acceptance of its award in the large-business category. La-Z-Boy's Martha Brown accepted the small-business Torch Award on behalf of the national furniture dealer.
The event at the Peter S. Knox Conference Center featured Thomas Williams, the director of special projects for U.S. Sen. Max Cleland, as guest speaker.
