Ready for a night on the town? Here's a sampling of specials and entertainment at area nightclubs:

You can scare up some Halloween fun at several clubs, including a Halloween costume party tonight at Aiken Brewing Co., 140 Laurens St. S.W.; Disco Halloween tonight at the Soul Bar, 984 Broad St.; a Halloween party Saturday at the American Legion Post 205, 2102 Highland Ave.; a Halloween party Saturday at The Junction, 1212 Whiskey Road in Aiken; a Halloween party Saturday at Pop a Top, 1427 Edgefield Road, North Augusta, with a costume contest from 3 to 5 p.m. for children and from 7 p.m. to midnight for adults, trophies and cash prizes; a Halloween party and costume contest Saturday at Richard's Place, 2416 Windsor Spring Road; and Dead Lion Halloween Wednesday at the Red Lion Pub, 1936 Walton Way, with $2,000 cash and prizes with DJ.

Fans of loud music will enjoy Bloodfest 8 Saturday at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3200, 1 Gun Club Road. Featured bands include Solemn, Thinfin, Gearbox and Thicker Than Blood. Doors open at 3 p.m., and tickets are $9.

Draft beer is $1 Sundays and Mondays at Athens Restaurant and Taverna, 246 Bobby Jones Expressway.
