In times like these we need experienced leaders to guide us through the difficult days ahead. That is why I enthusiastically support the re-election of Henry Brigham to the Augusta Commission in District 5 on Nov. 6.
Mr. Brigham has served on the commission for 15 years, during which he served two terms as commission chairman. Before that he was a teacher, counselor and principal in the Richmond County school system for 31 years.
A man of great character, he has been a member of Mt. Zion AMEZ Church as a member, trustee, financial secretary and choir president for 46 years.
He has not only given long years of service; he has served the community with distinction. He is a former Teacher of the Year, recipient of the Georgia State Chamber of Commerce regional award and been named Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity's Man of the Year.
Augusta needs and deserves this kind of experience. Re-elect Mr. Brigham.
Rev. Jerry Poole, Martinez, Ga.
