COLUMBIA, S.C. - Graveside services for Marianna Wise Judkins Youngblood, 86, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery, North Augusta, S.C. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association Mid-State Chapter, P.O. Box 7044, Columbia, S.C. 29202. Mrs. Youngblood, widow of E. Hale Judkins, died Tuesday, October 16, 2001. Born in Calhoun, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Valarie Curtis Wise. She attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, Ga., where she received her degree in education. Mrs. Youngblood established the first Day Kindergarten at Grace Methodist Church in North Augusta and retired from teaching in Augusta, Ga., after 25 years. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church for 45 years and resided in Columbia, for the last 10 years. She was first married to the late James Acker Mattison Youngblood. Surviving are sons, James E. Youngblood of Columbia, Harry H. Youngblood of Prosperity, and W. Lee Youngblood of Pageland; her sister, Valeria Sigman of Atlanta; and two grandchildren.
