Regarding The Chronicle's Oct. 2 editorial cartoon of Osama bin Laden at an ATM machine being rejected with, "Sorry - assets frozen":
This occurrence would give so many of us great pleasure to think Osama would be crippled from a financial standpoint. What the screen should say is "Sorry - assets donated to the Sept. 11 Fund."
The immeasuable debt bin Laden and his followers owe to so many can never be repaid. The tab he has created has no end, for there is no way to put a price on the crime, destruction, and loss to so many, not to mention the slump in the economy.
What price will he pay? He may soon find out, for he has created an invitation to his own demise, and his followers also.
