AUGUSTA, Ga. - Deacon Coleston Wilson, 70, of Cherry Avenue, died Sunday, October 7, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital. The funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 11, 2001, at 1 p.m. from Mount Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Clyde Hill Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Deacon Wilson was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, F.H. Hart Male Chorus, Finance Committee, Mount Calvary Church School and Ushers Ministry. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the East Augusta Neighborhood Association and had retired from Westinghouse and E.I. Dupont. Survivors are his loving wife, Elizabeth Wilson, one daughter, Jacquelyn Wilson, Augusta; one son, Reginald Wilson, Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, John Wilson, Savannah, Abraham Wilson, Newark, N.J. and Richard Wilson, Allendale, S.C.; four sisters, Alberta Wilson, Mozelle Saxon, and Euella Owens, all of Philadelphia, Pa. and Floria Scott, New York City, N.Y.; and host of other relatives and friends.
