AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, October 1, 2001, at the residence. Mr. Belton B. Roughte of 10th Street. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8, 2001, at 4 p.m., at United House of Prayer for all People with Elder George Young officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park. He was a native of Augusta, a member of United House of Prayer for all People and a U.S. Marine Corps. veteran. Survivors are his wife, Beulah Roughte; four step-daughters, Barbara Jean Mays, Charlotte Lawson, Valarie Singleton and Sylvia Dorsey; three step-sons, Willie Daniels, Michael Jones, Andrew Jones Jr., all of Augusta; one brother, Bennie Route, New York; three sisters, Faye Hankerson, Lizzie Meriweather, Augusta; Essie Davis, Cincinnati; 24 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
