AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Helen Cheek Crouch, entered into rest on Monday, September 24, 2001, in Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2001, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel with Reverend Len Chavis officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Born on March 8, 1920, Mrs. Crouch was a life-long resident of Augusta. She was a retired civil service employee of Fort Gordon and was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Crouch is preceded in death by her husband, Herman LeRoy Crouch. She is survived by her children, Joyce Thomas, Larry Crouch, Lilburn, Denise McWhorter, Pinpolis, South Carolina and Ronnie Crouch, Augusta; three nephews; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Josh Crouch, Jake Crouch, Jared Crouch, Chris McWhorter, Clay McWhorter, Tracy Crouch, Nathan McGraw, Tommy Williams and Randy Mullis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church of your choice.
