AIKEN, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Eidson Lucas, beloved wife of the late George F. Lucas, will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at 11 a.m. at St. Johns United Methodist Church with Revs. M. Eugene Mullikin, Shelia D. Rodgers and Kenneth L. Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lucas, 88, of 24 Burgundy Road, Aiken, died Sunday, September 23, 2001, at Carriage Hills Plantation. Mrs. Lucas was born in Thomson, Ga., to Walter H. and Lillie Austin Eidson. She was a graduate of Tubman High School, Augusta. She was co-owner of Aiken Concrete Company. She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Katie Williams Sunday School Class, Circle 11, and she served as a kitchen volunteer for 15 years. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia L. Lewis, La Grange, Ga., Olive H. Williams, Augusta and her daughter and son-in-law, Donna L. and William Thomas, "Tommy" Gibbs, Aiken. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Jamee Williams, Donna Williams, Andrew Williams, Lisa Gibbs Cornwell, Mary E. "Beth" Gibbs, W.T. "Will" Gibbs, George L. Lewis, John E. Lewis, Timothy R. Lewis, Theresa L. Cardosa, Betty Jane Lewis, Karen F. Harris; and 13 great-grandchildren. A visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be George Lucas Lewis, John E. Lewis, Timothy R. Lewis, Andrew D. Williams, William Thomas Gibbs IV and Todd Lista.
