LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Jefferson County's Warriors scored 19 points in the fourth quarter Friday night to defeat Hancock Central 31-7, giving their first-year coach, J.B. Arnold, his first high school varsity football victory.
Jefferson County had a 12-7 lead going into the final quarter.
Gary Farmer scored three rushing touchdowns, two of them in the last period, to lead Jefferson County (1-2). He scored on runs of 31, 22 and 21 yards and finished the game with 127 yards rushing on seven carries.
The other fourth-quarter TD was scored by Jeffrey Walker, who picked up a Hancock-Central (0-3) and returned it 14 yards for a touchdown.
