AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Friday, August 31, 2001, at the University Hospital, Mrs. Ada Mckie Johnson, 82, D Antignac Street. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Edgefield County, S.C. and a member of Old Macedonia Baptist Church., North Augusta, S.C. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today,Wednesday, September 5, 2001, from Old Macedonia Baptist Church, North Augusta, Rev. Limuel Myers pastor and Rev. Robert Myers officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include four sons, Mr. Clarence (Margie) Johnson Jr., North Augusta, S.C., Mr. John H. (Mattie) Johnson Sr., Augusta, Mr. Leon (Christine) Sr., Augusta, Mr. Earl Johnson, Augusta; one brother, Mr. James Mckie Sr., Augusta; 15 grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Annie M. Hardy, Mrs. Catherine Mckie, Elouise McEleveen, Mamie Madison; two aunts, Mrs. Sadie B. Dickerson, Mrs. Rosia Mckie; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one God daughter, Velma Hardy; and a host of other relatives and friends and devoted caregiver. The remains will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of the services and will not be viewed after the eulogy. The funeral procession will leave the residence at 1 p.m. The Historic Dents Undertaking Establishment serving the CSRA since the 1800s.
