INDIANA, Pa.- Funeral services for Rev. F.E. "Bud" Mansell, will be held Thursday, September 6, 2001, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Rivers Funeral Home with the Revs. Richard Swift and William Blair officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken, S.C. Rev. Mansell, 77, of Indiana, Pa., died Monday, September 3, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was born May 1, 1924, in West Middlesex to LeRoy E. and Gladys Morris Mansell. He was a graduate of Malone College, Cleveland, Ohio, and was a staff sergeant in the Army during World War II where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a retired Wesleyan Methodist Minister in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Rev. Mansell was past president of the Origional Allegheny Conference which is known today as the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Connection. Survivors include his wife, Betty Maxine Mansell; six sons, Mark E. Mansell, Phoenix, Ariz., Joel E. Mansell, Shelocta, Daniel E. Mansell, Strongstown, Timothy E. Mansell, Aiken, S.C., Jonathan E. Mansell, Aiken, S.C., Nathaniel E. Mansell, Suwanee, Ga.; a sister, Gladys "Jackie" Pluddeman, Akron, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box K, Aiken, SC 29802. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
