Mrs. Marie Sloan



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest September 2, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital, Mrs. Marie L. Sloan, age 85, beloved wife of Mr. Jack D. Sloan. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 7,2001, at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Kastle of Wildwood Christian Church officiating. A native of Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Francis L. Ervin and the late Ila ODonnell Ervin. Between 1954 and 1955, Mrs. Sloan served as a volunteer aide at the U.S. Naval Hospital at Great Lakes, IIl. Additional survivors include one son, Donald A. Sloan of Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Phyllis (William) Kirkland of Augusta, and Mrs. Ruth (George) Walters of Denver, Colo.; two grandsons, Brian R. (Tina) Sloan of North Augusta, S.C. and Kevin C. Sloan of Jacksonville, Fla.; two great-grandsons, Aaron and Blake Sloan of North Augusta, S.C.
