AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Cora Lee (Gibson) Geiger of Walker Street, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2001, at The Windermere Nursing & Rehab. The funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 5, 2001, at 3 p.m., from the Greater Young Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. William Blount officiating. The funeral processional will leave the residence at 2:30 p.m. The burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family said, "Mother, we will forever love and cherish your memories for we know within our hearts you are home with no pain, sorrow and worries. The Lord gave you time and you took advantage of it by getting your house in order." Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Washington of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Christine Massey of Fayetteville, N.C., and Ms. Janie Gibson of Augusta; five brothers, Mr. Lester Reeves of Augusta, Mr. Octavious Reeves Jr., Mr. Warren Reeves, Mr. Alexander Reeves and Mr. Johnny Reeves, all of Augusta; four sisters, Mrs. Lessie Allen, Mrs. Maggie Fallen, Mrs. Sally Reeves and Mrs. Laura Taylor, all of Augusta; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The body will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the hour of services. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home chapel.
