Zell's OK; Cleland stinks; Barnes is bad

Regarding Richard Renew's July 4 letter: I'd like to point out that if U.S. Sen. Zell Miller, D-Ga., does defect to the Republican Party, he can never be the slime-ball that U.S. Sen. James Jeffords of Vermont turned out to be.

Mr. Jeffords defected from the Republican Party at the opportune time so he could do the most harm to the ones who elected him. What a turncoat bum. I wonder what the Democrats promised him or paid him?...

Sen. Miller is at least keeping his promise to be a senator for all Georgians; U.S. Sen. Max Cleland is a senator from Georgia, but is really a senator for all liberals.

Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes is a governor for all liberals and my opinion is that he is as corrupt as former President Bill Clinton...
