AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at the University Hospital, Ms. Velinda Dorsey Singleton of Howell Road. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2001, at 11 a.m. from Beulah Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Garden. She was a member of the Beulah Grove Baptist Church, member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Soroity, Inc., past vice president of the Able Disabled, a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and an Americo Vista Volunteer. Survivors are one son, Chris Singleton Jr., Augusta; five aunts, Rhumertis Bennett, Detroit, Mich., Juanita Jones, Bertha Jefferson, Augusta, Ossa Brown, Columbus, Ohio, Frankie Rainey, Baltimore, Md.; one uncle, Clarence Bennett, Detroit, Mich.; adopted sister, Adell Moore, Augusta; adopted brother, Rev. Larry Fryer, Augusta; cousins and friends. The family will receive friends this evening 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
