AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Thursday, July 26, 2001, at University Hospital, Mr. Wilbon Coleman of Mill Street. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2001, at the United House of Prayer with Elder George Young officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park. He was a native of Aiken County, and retired from Castleberry after 40 years. He was a member of the United House of Prayer, a past master of Bannaker Lodge No 3 F&AM, Prince Hall Affiliation and past president of R.L. Newsome Study Club. Survivors are his wife, Clara Coleman, Augusta; two stepdaughters, Willa Mitchell and Joan (Jay) Jenkins, Augusta; stepmother, Gladys Coleman, Augusta; five grandchildren, Carlus Mitchell, Augusta, Kevin Mitchell, Fayetteville, Ark., Keith Reeves, Derrick Reeves, Jasmine Burns, Augusta; two sisters, Edith Long and Beatrice Tolbert, Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Lena Mae Coleman, Augusta; five great-grandchildren; seven nieces; one nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends.
