NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Estelle Verdery Faircloth, 87, of Forest Avenue, North Augusta, who died July 27, 2001, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Rev. H.B. Johnston officiating. Interment in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Faircloth was a native and life-long resident of North Augusta. She was a member of the North Augusta Southern Methodist Church where she was a past president of the Womens Missionary Society, a member and past District President of the Womens Christian Temperance Union, a former vice president of the North Augusta Historical Society and a member of the Sheffield Club. Mrs. Faircloth was the wife of the late Mr. Cecil R. Faircloth. Survivors include three sons, Cecil Faircloth, David Faircloth and Kenneth Faircloth all of North Augusta; a daughter, Claire Tollison, Cross Hill; a brother, Davis Verdery, North Augusta; a sister, Frances Walden, North Augusta; 13 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Malcolm McPherson, George Walden, Vernon Verdery, John Verdery, Marcellus Verdery, Matt Verdery, Raiford Rosson and Leon Walden. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. or at the residence of Mr. Cecil Faircloth, 962 Campbellton Drive, North Augusta, S.C.
