NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Robert R. "Bob" Restock, 78, of McKenzie Street, entered into rest July 27, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2001, in the chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. John Moore officiating. Entombment will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Ed Vanderhoff, Rick Brawley, Jim Mullins, Joey Vann and Tim Battis. Honorary Pallbearer will be David Parrish. Mr. Restock was a native of Milwaukee, Wis., and had lived in North Augusta for the past 23 years. He was an U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Restock was a member of the First Assembly of God in Augusta and was a member of the American Legion Post in North Kentucky where he served as chaplain. Mr. Restock was a sports enthusiast, particularly in bowling and golf. Mr. Restock was retired from Asco Manufacturing as a tool & die maker. He had an apprenticeship in tool and dye and received his associates degree in education from Aiken Technical College. He was very knowledgeable in his trade. He became an educator in many technical colleges across the country. Mr. Restock was the former president of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of fifty years, Muriel L. Restock; five daughters, Susan Klitzkie of Racine, Wis., Sandy Collins of Aiken, Sally Zabriskie of Grovetown, Sharla Parrish of Spartanburg, and Shirley Jackson of Columbia; a brother, William Restock of Brookfield, Wis.; and eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God, 1613 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA 30904.
