HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at the Medical College of Georgia, Mrs. Annie G. Maddox of Travis Road, Hephzibah. Mrs. Maddox was a native of Hephzibah, and a member of Franklin Covenant Baptist Church, Hephzibah, of which Rev. G.A. Williams is pastor. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Mr. Alester (Brenda) Drayton,Columbia, S.C., Mr. Larry Drayton, Hephzibah, Mr. Jeffrey (Delores) Drayton, Des Moines, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Deborah (Reynard) Wallace, Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Marva Maddox Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. Iva (Kenneth) Jones, Augusta; one sister, Mrs. Eddie L. Bell, Hephzibah; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Mrs. Laura Hughes; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2001 at 3 p.m., from Franklin Covenant Baptist Church with Rev. G.A. Williams officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 2 p.m. until the hour of services and will not be viewed after the eulogy. The funeral procession will leave the residence at 2:30 p.m, The Historic Dents Undertaking Establish serving the CSRA since the 1800s.
