FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Sandra Hensley Cox, 62, of Pierwood Way, Evans, wife of Mr. L. Fred Cox, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, N.C. Funeral services will be held at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 15, 2001, at 3 p.m. with Reverend Steve Dodson from Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church and Reverend William F. Harrell from Abilene Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Additional survivors include her mother, Mrs. Margaret H. Spivey of Martinez; a son, Mr. Duane Hensley of Grovetown; two daughters, Mrs. Lisa Hensley Perdue of Thomson and Mrs. Tara H. Boysen of North Augusta; a sister, Mrs. Adele Brown of Suffolk, Va. and two grandchildren, Mark and Megan Hensley. Her late husband, Sheriff Otis Hensley, preceded Mrs. Cox in death in 1994. A native of Suffolk, Va., Mrs. Cox was a long time resident of Columbia County. She was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, the Edgewood Garden Club and was a former human resource manager of Menardi-Criswell. Pallbearers for the funeral services will be John Moore, Doug Walker, Dennis Hoyt, Hans Gideon, Johnny Whittle and Clay Whittle. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Edgewood Garden Club.
