Mr. T. R. Rowland Jr.

VIDETTE, Ga. - Mr. T. R. "Buddy" Rowland Jr., 86, of Hwy. 24, Vidette, Ga. entered into rest Thursday, July 12, 2001, at the Burke Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Vidette, Ga. with Dr. Roy Beckham officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Dhu Cemetery, Vidette. Mr. Rowland was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. He had retired as a farmer. Mr. Rowland was a veteran of World War II, having served his country in the U.S. Army-Air Corps. He was a Mason, Scottish Rite, and a member of the Waynesboro Shrine Club. He was a member of the Bethel Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Vidette where he served as chairman of the Deacons. Survivors include his wife, Virginia W. Rowland, Vidette; a son, Thomas R. Rowland III, Vidette; two daughters, Susan R. Coursey, Waynesboro, and Pat R. Smith, Hephzibah; a sister, Mary R. Alexander, Gibson, Ga.; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rodney Raley, Manton Horton Jr., Buddy Wren, Lee Webster, Johnny Shivers, Frank Tison, Steve Bailey, Frank Agerton, John S. Thomas, Bill Stallsmith and Bobby Webster. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 7256 Hwy. 24 W, Louisville, GA 30434.
