COLUMBIA, S.C. - Mr. Nehemiah Washington Sr., 72, of Ervin Street, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at his residence. The funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2001, at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Barnwell, S.C., with Rev. C.W. Phinizy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Washington, a native of Myers Hill (Barnwell City, S.C.), was a retired roofer. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Jacquelyn Washington, Pensacola, Fla.; three sons, Nehemiah Washington Jr., James Leroy Washington, and Jackie Washington, all of Pensacola, Fla.; onesister, Mary P. Odom, New Ellenton, S.C.; one aunt, Annie Bell Walker, New Ellenton, S.C.; a loving and devoted friend, Lula Mae Wright, Columbia, S.C.; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
