DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Alfred D. Hillman, 72, beloved husband of Mrs. Robbie R. Hillman, of Hillman-Gay Road, Dearing, Ga., died Friday, June 1, 2001, in Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, in the Fort Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Boyd Reeves, Royce Godfrey, and Peter Kendricks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Hillman, a native of Jefferson County, had lived in Dearing for many years. He was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Fort Creek Baptist Church, where he was also a member of the Fort Creek Baptist Church Brotherhood. Survivors include his wife, Robbie Hillman; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Stephen Schell, Harlem, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Peggy Hillman, Thomson, Ga.; three sisters, Audrey McMichael, Savannah, Ga.; June Hattaway, Augusta, Ga.; and Joyce Borders, Martinez, Ga.; two brothers, Alton Hilman and Alvin Hillman, both of Dearing, Ga.; a granddaughter, Morgan Hillman; and a stepgrandson, Michael Faglier. Pallbearers will be Andy Rodgers, Ronnie Gay, William Clark, Lynn Jerry Reeves Sr., Harold Whitaker, and Randy Walden. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fort Creek Baptist Church Brotherhood. Friends may call at the residence or at Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., tonight, at the funeral home.
