Destiny's Child's Survivor CD, with the single of the same name, hits store shelves.

The Emperor's New Groove - with the voices of David Spade as a South American king-turned-llama and John Goodman, along with music by Sting - is out on video and DVD.

The Augusta Opera and Augusta Ballet will present Song and Dance at the Movies at 8 p.m. at the Imperial Theatre, 745 Broad St. Other performances will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12-$40. Call 261-0555.


College scholarship applications are being accepted by the Augusta-Fort Gordon chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. Students must be majoring in computer science, electronics, engineering or a related science field. Applications are available online at www.afcea-augusta.org. It's the last day to file applications for the Medical College of Georgia's summer teen volunteer program. Applicants must be 15 by May 15 to be eligible for the program, conducted June 11 through Aug. 3 throughout the hospital, outpatient clinics and children's center. Call 721-3596.

The Augusta Mini Theatre will present Scenes From Past Plays at 8 p.m. in the Jack B. Patrick Technology Center, Augusta Technical College, 3116 Deans Bridge Road. Repeat performances will be at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $5. Call 722-0598.

The day's lineup at Atlanta's Music Midtown Festival will include Bob Dylan, Blue Oyster Cult, Drivin'n'cryin', Our Lady Peace and the Black Crowes. Admission is $35. The festival continues through Sunday.

Bassist Mike Dirnt of Green Day, 29, and singer Lance Bass of 'N Sync, 22, share a birthday.
