Mrs. Mary Brantley



GIBSON, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Logue Brantley, 93, of Beall Springs Roads, died Monday, April 30, 2001, at McDuffie County Hospital, Thomson. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Brantley was a native of Glascock Co., Ga. She was a school teach and pianist. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she played the piano for 32 years. She was school teacher at Glascock Co., Richmond Co., and John Hancock Academy in Sparta, Ga. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star Gibson Lodge. Survivors include one son, James E. Brantley of Marietta, Ga.; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are M. L. Logue, Charles Logue, Brinson Logue, Warren Pittman, Roy Kitchens and Donald Kent. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Sheppard Funeral Home, Gibson. Memorials may be made to Georgia Masonic Childrens Home in Macon, Ga. and The Georgia Baptist Childrens Home in Palmetto, Georgia. Sheppard Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements, Gibson, Ga.
