Mr. Earl Doolittle



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Earl Nathan Doolittle, 86, entered into rest Saturday, April 28, 2001, in the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at 2 p.m. from the graveside in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Larry Doolittle officiating. Mr. Doolittle was a native of Augusta and retired from King Mill as a loom fixer. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Baptist. Mr. Doolittle was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Belle Proctor Doolittle. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Earline Doolittle of Augusta, and Mrs. Mary Hebbard of Hephzibah; three grandchildren, Preston Lathan Parkman, Kellie Overton and Dawn Overton; eight great-grandchildren, Preston Lathan Parkman Jr., Megan Parkman, Kaylyn Parkman, Brandon Overton, Dalton Overton, Cody Overton, Dawson Overton and Hunter Overton. Pallbearers will be Gerald Doolittle, Lanny Doolittle, Preston Parkman, Tim Gault, Glenn Florence and Jackie Doolittle. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
