Mrs. Vastee O'Quinn



WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Vastee Brown O'Quinn, 86, of Dogwood Drive, entered into rest Friday, April 27, 2001, at Brentwood Terrace Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, April 30, 2001, at Rosemont Heights Baptist Church, Waynesboro, with the Revs. Keith Alderman and Wayne Dixon officiating. Interment will be in Burke Memorial Gardens. Mrs. OQuinn, a native of Wheeler County, Ga., had been a resident of Burke County for the past 45 years. She was a charter member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church, Sunshine Sunday school class, Womens Missionary Union and J.O.Y. Fellowship Group. Survivors include her husband, Leroy OQuinn; one son, Richard L. OQuinn and one daughter, June OQuinn Jones, all of Waynesboro; five sisters, Aline Polk, Savannah, Hazel Coleman and Marion Crawford, both of Helena, Ga., Pat Lancaster, Savannah, and Pete Demirgian, Miami, Fla.; three grandchildren, Tom Jones, George Jones and Kelli OQuinn and four great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Norman Thomas, Edward Thomas, Jerry Richardson, Kenneth English, J.L. Glisson and Robert Williford. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sunshine Sunday school class and the Ruth Sunday school class of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church.
